Joe Battaglia is the Associate Director for CLEARCorps USA. He has experience teaching and training, developing large scale systems, designing curriculum, managing projects and people, facilitating and presenting, and designing professional development. Before coming to CLEARCorps USA, Joe spent sixteen years as an teacher, schools consultant, and non-profit director serving educators and schools in low-income communities. He helped to start and scale up a network of small innovative schools called Big Picture schools across the country. He aims to serve families and communities in lead education and remediation.

Joe has a BA in English from University of Chicago and a Masters of Education from Harvard University. Joe lives in Providence (in an old house) and enjoys the arts and outdoors with his an amazing wife, three wonderful children, aging dog and wily cat.
